The Vancouver Writers Fest presents

ERIC DUPONT, THEA LIM, PATRICK DEWITT, ESI EDUGYAN, SHEILA HETI

Moderator: Jael Richardson

Without fail, the winner of the annual Scotiabank Giller Prize becomes a household name in Canada. Those shortlisted also step into the proverbial hall of CanLit fame, their titles splashed across best-of lists at year end for good reason. No wonder the shortlist is a staple of many bibliophiles’ fall reading lists. Author, CBC broadcaster and Artistic Director for the Festival of Literary Diversity, Jael Richardson, hosts our annual on-stage interview with each of the 2018 finalists, revealed on October 1. Hear about the creative processes, anticipations and camaraderies between these incredible creatives just weeks before the winner is announced on November 19.

Esi Edugyan is unable to join us due to her commitment to be at the Booker Prize announcement in the UK on October 16. She will still be attending her other events. See her author page for more information.
