Poetry fans, this afternoon with some of Canada’s most exciting new voices, as moderated by celebrated professor and poet, Aislinn Hunter, is for you! Hear from sought-after Billy-Ray Belcourt, the youngest poet to ever win the prestigious Griffin Poetry Prize for This Wound Is a World. Joining him is the “poet laureate of aftermath” Julie Bruck (How to Avoid Huge Ships); Canisia Lubrin (Voodoo Hypothesis), who is hailed as “a brilliant new Canadian voice”; and Shazia Hafiz Ramji (Port of Being), whose work is described as “a revelation.” Leave feeling rejuvenated by the power of poetry.
