SOLD OUT

The Vancouver Writers Fest presents:

Join us for an evening with the witty and visionary Ian Rankin who enraptures readers with his bestselling Detective John Rebus novels. He will be in conversation with crime aficionado, Jerry Wasserman, about mastering the thriller, his inspiration and his latest detective novel, In a House of Lies.

A master of the crime-thriller genre, Ian Rankin has gripped readers with his stories for more than thirty years. Since the first Rebus detective novel was published in 1987, the series has been translated into 36 languages and continues to include cross-border bestsellers. A contributor to BBC2's Newsnight Review, Rankin also presented his own TV series, Ian Rankin's Evil Thoughts.

In the latest mystery in the captivating John Rebus series, the ex-DI returns alongside series stalwart Detective Siobhan Clarke in a case that will dredge up the secrets of the past and disrupt an even murkier present.

Always an audience favourite for his humour and charm, Ian Rankin is sure to delight as he returns to Vancouver for this candid conversation.
